Project Summary
Subsurface Dynamics was tasked with developing a field development and optimization program including location of future development wells and selection of perforated intervals. This study included integration of all geophysical, geological and engineering data as well as economic analysis.
CLIENT: UNDISCLOSED
fORMATION: International tight sand reservoir with multiple producing intervals
Scope of Work
Using proprietary data from the Client , Subsurface Dynamics completed a petrophysical model, constructed a Geological static and history matched dynamic model. The dynamic model was used to perform sophisticated full field multi layer well placement optimization and create probabilistic forecasts. Wellbore modelling was also completed to quantify the contribution of each producing zone. Completion optimization was performed to optimize the staging and tonnage for sand placement as well as well trajectories and optimum length of horizontal sections.
Result
As a result of the full field development workflow, the following enhancements were achieved:\
- Location of missed pockets of recoverable resources were quantified
- Selection of infill locations to increase future field productivity by 40%
- Improvement in individual well productivity by 20% by improving completion design and maximizing zonal contributions.
